I’ve been playing games since my parents brought me my first computer at the age of 6, that was in 1987. I remember it like it was yesterday. It was a commodore 64. One of my favorite things to do, other than playing games of course, was to type in coding from the book that came with it. Then, there were the games. Those rage inducing, blood curdling games that would make you want to throw the joystick across them room. Such as, Treasure Island Dizzy, Dizzy: Prince of the Yolkfolk, Paperboy, Sly Spy Secret Agent and Ghostbusters.
After, I had a NES. Was and still is one of my favorite consoles. I think I spent more time playing the games on the NEs, then I did on the Commodore 64. My favorites were Super Mario Bros. Duck Hunt, California Games, Snake, Rattle and Roll and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Then brought a PlayStation and never looked back.
In recent years, I have become an avid collector of consoles and their games. I currently own a PlayStation 1, 2, 3, and 4. Sega Mega Drive, NES, Atari 2600 JR and Spectrum +2 128k. As well as many games for all the consoles. Even though I am Forty next year, I still find enjoyment in playing computer games. Old and new. As well as, maybe, an unhealthy obsession for collecting anything gaming related.
